Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission’s compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The  GEINTEC Magazine will submit all manuscripts received to the analysis of ad hoc consultants, whose names will remain confidential and who will issue opinions to decide on the relevance of their acceptance, and may even re-present them to the author (s) with suggestions for necessary changes are made and / or so that they are in line with the journal’s editorial standards. The evaluation process is “Double Blind Peer Review” and each article will be submitted to at least two reviewers, if there is a divergence in the analysis, the article will go on to another reviewer. The evaluation is in  anonymity valid for both sides (reviewer and reviewed).
  • The Journal GEINTEC is not responsible for concepts and opinions issued by autores.O spontaneous sending any submission automatically implies full assignment of copyright to the Journal GEINTEC . The contribution is original and unpublished, and is not being evaluated for publication by another journal. The GEINTEC Magazine receives original scientific articles for publication, which have not been published in any other form of publication. The content of the works is the sole responsibility of the author (s), and does not reflect the opinion of the Editor, Section Editors or Members of the Editorial Board .
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word, OpenOffice or RTF format and I am aware that writing sent in other formats (including PDF) will not be accepted.

  • The text follows the style standards and bibliographic requirements contained in the  MODEL which is available for download in the Guideline for Authors section.
  • Ethics Committee: The ethical criteria of the research must be respected within the terms of Resolutions 196/96 and 251/97 of the National Health Council. When involving experiments with human beings, the authors should send the opinion of the Research Committee as a “supplementary document”. Recognized ethics or statement that the procedures used in the research are in accordance with the ethical principles that guide the resolutions.
  • Conflict of interests: the authors’ responsibility for the preparation of the manuscript is declared, as well as the existence or not of any conflicts of professional, financial interest or direct or indirect benefits that may influence the results of the research. Authors must report any potential conflict of interest, including political and / or financial interests associated with patents or property, provision of materials and / or inputs and equipment used in the study by the manufacturers.If there are conflicts of interest in the research, make it explicit in the submission in comments to the editor.
  • Disclaimer: The procedures adopted by the GEINTEC Magazine  for the registration and publication of errata, retractions and expressions of concern are based on standards presented by the indexer and publisher SciELO, which follow the guidelines of the main ethics, indexing and scientific publication committees. The main source in the area of ​​the journal is the  COPE Retraction Rules.
  • Plagiarism: The Journal GEINTEC conta with the collaboration of reviewers , who at the time of the evaluation double blind, notify the editorial team any substantial similarity between the manuscript in question and articles already published or simultaneously submitted to other journals and other information considered pertinent.
  • Funding sources: Authors must declare, when applicable, all sources of funding or support, institutional or private, for the study.
  • Dictamen processThe opinion process takes into account the following steps:(1) Once the work has been received (through the OJS platform) a plagiarism review is performed using CopySpider or similar software. If plagiarism or any situation that violates the ethical standards of scientific publications and COPE (Publications Ethics Committee http://publicationethics.org/) is detected, it will proceed: (a) reject the article, (b) communicate the plagiarism / self-plagiarism / anomalous situation and, finally, (c) communicate to the author’s institution.

    When the existing problem is related to the originality of the document and even the transfer of property rights by the author has been signed, proceed to: (a) reject the article, (b) notify the anomalous situation of the author, (c) communicate to the institution of the author and, finally, (d) inform the initial source of the publication (journal, editorial or institution) that the article was postulated in our journal.

    (2) If you do not find any indication of the situations described above, the text reviewed by the editorial staff of the magazine is made, so that it meets the requirements established in the section of the guidelines for authors: http://www.revistageintec.net/ index.php / magazine / about / submissions # authorGuidelines

    (3) Subsequently, there is the blind peer review process, which reviews the scientific and academic parameters of each of the works, in the double-blind modality.

    (4) Once the previous process ends, the author (s) is informed of the final result of the process through the platform of the Magazine. The article can be accepted, accepted with modifications, rejected or resubmitted (where the author’s comments are sent to the author, so that he can redo the writing and restart the entire editorial process).

    (5) Once the work complies with all requirements for publication, the author (s) are informed that they must sign the rights allocation form.

    (6) If there is any dispute with any of the works published in these cases, an Intellectual Property Commission is composed of representatives from the different legal, research and editorial bodies of the API. They are the ones that indicate the path that must be followed before any process, because the API is the assignee of the rights to work.
