THE POSTURES INFLUENCE OF ADOPTION OF INNOVATIONS IN IT IN OBTAINING COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE
Abstract
Decisions about the adoption of new information technologies by involving strategic and which
affect the work processes of virtually any organization need to be treated more carefully and by
foundation managers. Thus, the position of front organizations to the adoption of IT innovations is
a subject that deserves further study. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to discuss the influence
of each posture adoption of IT innovations in competitive advantages for organizations, ie, the
possible existence of a relationship between posture adoption of IT innovations and competitive advantages. Therefore, the adoption of IT innovations can be considered a strategic resource for
obtaining competitive advantages. The starting point is the debate on the adoption of IT innovations
and resource-based view (RBV). At the end of this study, we propose a theoretical synthesis of the
adoption of innovations, which seeks to give an overview of the discussions held here. The
discussion presented in this study is limited to theoretical and is therefore of fundamental
importance for studies aiming at empirical validation or rejection of the proposal presented here.
