MECHANISMS OF UNIVERSITY-BUSINESS INTERACTION: AN INITIATIVE BY THE SECTOR OF OIL & GÁS OF THE STATE OF SERGIPE
Abstract
The interaction between universities and companies is one of the factors determining the
dynamics of scientific and technological development and the process of innovation and
development in the country, keeping specifics when considering the different sectors of
activity, especially those of higher density technology. The present work aims to study the sector of oil and gas in Sergipe (SE). The objectives consist in identifying the main difficulties
of the interaction university-company perceived by agents that operate in this sector and
presentation a mechanisms applied for motivating interactive activities. Accordingly,
questionnaires were applied in companies the Petrogás Network / SE and research groups at
the Federal University of Sergipe, addressing issues related to innovation and the interaction
between these agents. From the main problems identified were developed some actions to
mitigate, particularly, deficiencies concerning updating of scientific and technological
information. The results show the importance given to innovation and presents a mechanism
to improve the technological interaction between agents.
