TECHNOLOGICAL PROSPECTION OF ALKALOIDS USED IN THE TREATMENT OF PAIN
Pain is an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience related to actual or potential tissue damage, it is being a worldwide public health problem that causes a large economic impact. The relief or cessation of pain is obtained by the use of analgesics, but these drugs are not dissociated important adverse effects, it is explaining the search for new molecules, among them the alkaloids. The aim of this paper was to perform a technological forecasting about alkaloids used to treat pain, analyzing the country's participation in the filings of patents in innovation and national banks and international technology in recent years and correlating scientific production through the papers indexed. For this, the prospect was held at the European Bank for Patents, on the bank of the World Intellectual Property Organization, the Bank of America Patent and Trademark Office and in the database of the National Institute of Industrial Property of Brazil; as well as the databases ScienceDirect, SCOPUS and SCIELO. The international classification in this forecasting survey that was most abundant was A61K and the largest number of patents was filed in the last 10 years. There was a reduction of patent applications in 2013, the time that this year 139 articles were indexed in the SCOPUS database. Amongst the major depositories are China and the United States. Brazil does not appear as depositary, despite being the eighth largest number of articles in the SCOPUS.
