TECHNOLOGICAL FORECASTING: HYPOALLERGENIC COW’S MILK
Milk has many important nutrients for human nourishment and thousands of people around the world drink milk. Cow's milk is the most widely used as food or as raw material for the manufacture of other foods. Nevertheless, allergies to cow's milk are quite common, especially in children. This survey aimed to analyze patents on hypoallergenic cow's milk substitutes or derivatives. The search was conducted in the databases of the INPI and the EPO. 44 patents were found and analyzed for dates of publication, country of origin of applicants, country where it was deposited and the International Patent Classification (IPC). The results show a constant trend to develop new technologies that meet the need of patients to conventional cow's milk.
