This paper proposes a new technology for grain drying using solar energy. This kiln shows significant benefits in relation to the barge, providing a drastic reduction in the area needed for drying of almonds and better working conditions. The simulations also show improved drying efficiency, since the tower can keep longer the heat inside, reaching temperatures of around 50 ° C to 36 ° C reached for the barge, in same time and under the same initial and boundary conditions. This is resulte equivalent to Conselho Nacional do Comércio Exterior.
