USING BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE (BI) IN MAKING SUPPORT SISTMA STRA-TEGIC DECISION
Abstract
The changes in the competitive world promoted organizational changes, requiring product innova-tion and business. Thus, the information technology has become a strategic ally of organizations in the form of managing the business. This article reports the results of the literature based on the last ten years, from 2006 to 2015 in Scopus and Scielo bases, in addition to research in sites of maga- zines and national and international conferences. The research was aimed at addressing the im-portance of adoption of BI as a decision-making support tool. Among the objectives and results presented are the benefits of "business intelligence" (BI) and implementation phases of a BI system. The article highlights the results of research and conclusion, as the need for correct information processing and aligned with strategic objectives, because the quality of this information plays a key role in determining scenarios that can help the decision-making process and consequently promote intelligence and competitive advantage by adding value to business and organization. Stages of implementation of BI are presented.
