USE OF ADDITIVES NATURAL FROM Moringa oleifera LAM FOR IMPROVEMENT OF OXIDATIVE STABILITY OF BIODIESEL
Abstract
Biodiesel is a biodegradable fuel, renewable and that has characteristics similar to diesel, but does
not present a good oxidative stability. Given this situation, the present study aimed to evaluate the
technological advances in the development of natural additives used to improve the oxidative
stability of biodiesel. To perform the search of patents have used the basis of the World Intellectual
Property Organization (WIPO) and the European Patent Office (Espacenet). Assessing the global
scenario we can characterize the prospect for the use of additives of natural origin, since the
market the use of artificial additives is already widely used. Especially in the area of additives from
the Moringa oleifera Lam, which was performed according to the search proved almost no patents
related to the subject. Thus demonstrating a very promising area and great for investment, since the
main raw material is a plant found in Brazil with ease.
