TECHNOLOGICAL TRENDS FOR PRODUCTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES WITH LOW ALCOHOL CONTENT
Abstract
Recent years have witnessed an increase in demand for alcoholic beverages with an alcohol content
reduced as a result of social and health problems. However, most of these drinks available or not
please respond to consumer expectations. This paper aims to conduct a study of technological forecasting related to the development of methods for production of alcoholic beverages with an
alcohol content reduced. The methodology employed the use of classification code for international
patent search on the basis of European patents (Espacenet ®). From the results we analyzed the
evolution of annual patents, the rise of technology, distribution by type of depositors, holders of
production technology. The first patent was found to be 1903, France being the country of origin.
You can see that there is an upward trend in the number of patent applications from the year 1978,
in particular to the countries of North America, Canada (41%) and U.S. (27%) and European
countries Germany (40%) and Italy (28%), this indicates that many innovative efforts have been
conducted by different countries, stating interest in the production of alcoholic beverages with low
alcohol content.
