SYSTEMATIC PROPOSAL FOR IMPROVING THE FUEL SUPPLY SURVEILLANCE IN BRAZIL: APPLICATION TO A REAL CASE
Abstract
The objective of this article is to propose a systematic for process improvement of the national Fuel
Supply Surveillance Process, carried out by the responsible regulatory organism, (ANP), the
Brazilian national biofuel, oil and gas regulatory agency. To do so, a qualitative, exploratory and
descriptive approach through interviews, based on the research strategy, a case study. The results
show the need to increase the speed of communication between the members of the process
"Verification of Product Conformity to Technical Regulation", published by the regulatory body,
and the members of the finalistic process "Inspection of Fuel Supply" going to the field with
compliance data. Based on this, the proposed improvement systematic can be articulated and
aggregated with existing organizational practices or in the development of independent strategies
to help enhance the regulation process of the oil, gas and biofuels sector and constitutes an
innovation in organizational process management technology that provides data on the compliance
of collected products in surveillance actions.
