STUDY OF THE STAGES OF THE PROCESS OF INNOVATION IN SUL CORTE COMPANY LTD
Abstract
Innovation is the way every company seeking a competitive edge against the market and the
innovation process is how to achieve a profit differential and therefore the monopoly market. This
article aims to analyze how a Brazilian company structured the stages of the innovation of a new
product, not yet marketed in Brazil, seeking product differentiation, profitability, lower prices and
greater technological productivity for the customer, through innovation. The methodological
procedures were used in the first phase of the exploratory search through the literature review. In
the second phase, data collection, qualitative descriptive in nature, using the case study company in
the Sul Corte Ltda. and technical research as the interview with the General Manager of the
company analyzed. The study emphasizes how the firm's market success in the domestic market was
made possible by innovation. The innovative process of the product was composed of specific steps
and delimited and arranged in a linear main proceedings, with external linkages, through research
and human and material resources.
