RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION AND ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE
Abstract
The objective of this article is to analyze the relationship between technological innovation and
organizational performance in technology companies of the Local Productive Arrangement, Trino Polo de
Caxias do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul. The research is of a descriptive quantitative type, with cross-sectional
section, which was operationalized by means of a survey type survey, formed by 15 variables. The
population is composed of all employees of the companies belonging to the Trino Polo. The sample is
probabilistic and stratified by company size. Data collection was performed through a questionnaire
applied personally to 127 respondents in the period from February 20 to June 30, 2019. The data were
treated through descriptive statistics and structural equation modeling analysis. The hypothesis that there is
a significant relationship between technological innovation (product and process) and organizational
performance was accepted at the significance level of 5%, in the context of the technology companies of the
Trino Polo Local Production Arrangement.
