PROJECT MANAGEMENT IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF AEROSPACE INDUSTRY PRODUCTS: AN ANALYSIS OF THE IMPORTANCE AND EFFICIENCY OF MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING PROCESSES
Abstract
This research has focused on project management associated with new product development of the aeronautic industry, highlighting in particular the importance and efficiency of manufacturing processes. The analysis was based on a questionnaire with 47 cases spread throughout the PMBOK, which was answered by 20 professionals with extensive experience in the aeronautic industry. The data were treated statistically using the techniques of multidimensional scaling and principal component analysis, taking advantage of Exploratory Factor Analysis to a single factor. The results showed that the ten most important processes are associated with the following themes: 1. To develop the project team, 2nd control the quality, 3. Determine the budget, 4th Conduct acquisitions, 5th control risk, 6 Identify risks, 7th Plan cost management, 8 Manage the project team, 9th Plan the management of acquisitions and 10th Plan risk management. Despite good overall results for the efficiency levels to the previous cases, also note it is performance improvement possibilities for the studied company.
