MONITORING PUBLICATIONS RELATING TO SEABOB SHRIMP (Xiphopenaeus kroyeri) (Heller, 1862)
Abstract
Member of the order Decapoda (Latreille, 1802) Dendrobranchiata suborder (Bate, 1888) and
family Penaeidae (Rafinesque, 1815) shrimp seven beards, Xiphopenaeus kroyeri (Heller, 1862), is
distributed in the Eastern Pacific Ocean from the town of Sinaloa in Mexico until the city of Paita
in Peru and in the western Atlantic, from Virginia (United States) to Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
Several researchers from Brazil and other developing countries have the papers on the population
dynamics, reproductive biology, fisheries characterization, spatial-temporal distribution, morphometry, sex ratio, genetic and other other areas of interest of this species. Monitor entire
literary output directed to Xiphopenaeus kroyeri (Heller, 1862) present in the database of
publications included in the site's regular and CAPES in Scopus bases and Scientific Electronic
Library Online (SciELO) in order to count the number of publications, main countries which work,
languages, major magazines used by authors who develop research related to this species. It is
hoped that the development of this work will become a new incentive for Brazilian researchers to
develop new studies addressing the seven bearded shrimp Xiphopenaeus kroyeri (Heller, 1862).
