MICROEMULSIONS FOR TRANSDERMAL DRUGS DELIVERY SYSTEMS: AN EXPLORATION TECHNOLOGY
Abstract
In recent years, numerous strategies have been used to promotes kin penetration of drugs, and this has been protected by patents. Drug delivery systems(DDS), as micro emulsions, have many advantages such as increased solubility and extra vascular transport and transdermal of drugs. This prospection technology aims to conduct a survey in major patent databases DDS containing micro emulsions for transdermal use. The main patent documents were found arising from research in the United States and China. We found no patent Brazilian origin. Several therapeutic classes of drugs were found in the search in databases, with a prevalence of NSAIDs. New DDS as micro emulsions is a potential field of research for Universities and Research Centers in our country, considering that Brazil is encouraging and funding the search for new technologies, especially in the area of pharmaceutical nano technology
