MANAGEMENT TECHNOLOGIES IN AGRIBUSINESS: A CASE STUDY IN THE PRODUCTION OF PINEAPPLE ON PORTO VELHO, BRAZIL
This task focuses on activity of Agribusiness Systems for cultivation of pineapple` in Porto Velho City, Capital of Rondônia State, Brazil. The principal objective is investigate the influence of technology management practices of local agriculture, inferring about the relationship between technological context and increased performance with productivity. Has as support the System Theory recommended by Chiavenato (2003). And as specific objectives describe the production process carried out by the unit of crop (1), analyze the management of technology applied to production processes(2), and submit proposals and measures to adjust for productivity improvement (3). Is applied a Case Study Method with a common qualitative research procedures. As results are presented descriptive of the cases investigated with diagramming and demonstration of cultivation practices of pineapples` culture; analysis the use of the technological factor applied to production in order to identify forms of management technology found in the process, offering data raised on opportunities for technology implementation in this activity, and proposals adequacy on processes with focus on increase productivity through the development of routines, innovation projects and entrepreneurial attitudes. The analysis made it possible to infer about the production practices, which highlights the importance of the participation of the academic institution with local organizations, encouraging, therefore, the development of structural models and public policies that benefit the regional developments.
