INNOVATION IN THE BRAZILIAN AGRICULTURE: A LITERATURE REVIEW
Abstract
Agriculture plays an important role in the Brazilian economy. One of the central elements to the development of this activity, both in terms of economic growth and social is the innovation. This study aims to analyze product innovations, process, organizational and marketing in the Brazilian agriculture. The study is theoretical and examines 32 articles related to the topic, selected from databases and journals focused on innovation. The results enabled the creation of a representative scheme of innovation of Brazilian agriculture whose components are the objectives of the work, the type of study, the concepts and types of innovations adopted, the tools and procedures used to innovate, the major deliverables of the authors and the identification of innovations such as increment or differentiation of agricultural commodities. It was concluded that the studies dealing with different types of innovation, according to the classification of the Oslo Manual, the objectives are focused on technical aspects or social with the dominance of field work. In short, innovation has been increased both in issues of productivity and the relationship of man with the earth and sustainable development.
