INNOVATION IN IT: CASE STUDY ON A COMPANY LEADER NATIONAL RETAIL
Abstract
In the current information age, the massive use of information technologies is regarded as one of the main enablers of innovation in enterprises. While innovation is understood as one of the main ways of transforming the business of the companies in the current market, innovation management becomes a fundamental practice for organizations that depend on the development of new ideas to create value and competitiveness in the environment where they operate. This article aims to analyze the innovation process in the IT area of the national retail leading companies. From the case study showed that for the best practice process the strategy of the area should be aligned with the overall strategy of the organization. Moreover, by proposing adaptations in innovation management model, it presented possibilities for the treatment of the main problems encountered in the process.
