INNOVATION DIAGNOSIS OF A PORTUGUESE COMPANY IN TIMES OF CRISIS
Abstract
Whereas different strategies are used by organizations to enhance their performance through
innovation, this study aimed to demonstrate through a diagnostic innovation management in the
most innovative company of Portugal, according to the data made available by the Business
Association for innovation (COTEC, 2011). Given the growing importance of innovation
management in enterprise development, the diagnosis becomes important tool in that it allows you
to view an overview of the strategic actions of the company under study, which can serve as a
driver factor for other Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) aimed at improving competitiveness
and differentiation in the market. In how to conduct the research, this study was characterized as a
descriptive and qualitative research, where the data were obtained from the diagnostics for the
Octagon Innovation. Upon completion of the survey, it was observed that the main benefits
achieved through management innovation are reflected in Derovo company's ability to innovate
through a single raw material, the egg, getting growth, internationalization, diversification and
acquisition of a strong political human resources and great recognition in the market segment.
