IN HYSYS SIMULATION OF A PLANT BIOETANOL
Abstract
The Brazilian economic growth demands more and more energy and thus a greater need for fuel,
but the use of fossil fuels increases the levels of pollution due to the emission of gases generated in
its burning. These factors stimulate the use of alternative energy sources such as biofuels, in which
ethanol plays a central role for its use as fuel for cars. The production of bioethanol from sugar
cane is increasing, and to be able to meet the growing demand for sustainable manner is necessary
to develop innovative technologies for the increase in ethanol production, such as production of
ethanol by hydrolysis of bagasse called second generation ethanol.
