GUIDELINES FOR OUTSOURCING AND INNOVATION OF ADOPTION IN IT AND ITS RELATIONSHIP WITH STRATEGIC RISKS: THE CASE OF AN OPERADORA OF HEALTH PLANS OF GAUCHA SERRA
Abstract
It is noticed that the Information Technology (IT) is becoming increasingly important for organizations to the point that many organizations spend to be dependent on IT resources. In the IT context, we see a constant and rapid movement in the number of innovative products and services brought to market. As for the outsourcing of IT resources are also seen significant movements in order to outsource these resources. The goal of this study is to analyze the management of IT resources in organizations that are dependent on these resources and especially the strategic risks inherent in defined guidelines, formally or informally, by organizations with regard to outsourcing and the adoption of innovations in IT. This research was qualitative, exploratory level and the strategy used was the case study, performed in a Operadora of Health Plans of Serra Gaúcha. It was observed that the outsourcing guidelines influence the guidelines of adoption of innovations in IT, and that these guidelines are not formalized, but thatIt exists as general guidelines for the strategic management. Yet it was observed that outsourcing IT is a factor that can significantly affect the strategic risks of the organization. Finally, it was that bad decisions either adoption or not innovations as the outsourcing of resources can cause serious damage to the organization coming to the point to derail their strategies and even the continuity of its operations, so this is an issue that still deserves further research and theoretical and empirical depth.
