GOOD LAW: THE ENCOURAGEMENT OF TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION TO INCREASE GLOBAL COMPETITIVENESS IN BRAZIL
Abstract
In recent years the government has adopted strategies to encourage technological innovation, aiming to increase the competitiveness of the country. This study aimed to identify the relationship between encouraging technological innovation (Good Law) and the index of global competitiveness of nations. To analyze the competitiveness of countries, since 2006 the World Economic Forum assesses some guidelines and publishes an annual ranking of global competitiveness report titled, which by analysis of several pillars of competitiveness, determines the placement of each country. Based on these reports, referring to the information provided by companies in relation to the tax incentive and the competitiveness of nations annual report, were identified through the analysis of correlation between the amount of companies that make use of the benefit with increased global competitiveness, demonstrating a need to revise the limits aiming to benefit a greater number of companies to participate in the benefit.
