EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION: CREATING NEW POSSIBILITIES FOR E-LEARNING. THE CASE: AS AM I? A TOOL TO PRESENT THE STATE OF MIND IN A VIRTUAL LEARNING ENVIRONMENT
Abstract
This article is an analysis of the importance of diagnosing the affective aspects of users of virtual
learning environments (VLE). Through theoretical training in psychology, sociology, computer
science and education, to support the implementation of a plugin in Moodle, where students can
demonstrate, through emoticons your mood at that moment, and start a discussion about innovation
for education. As a result of the research it was found that the systems that perceive the emotions of
the participants favor the interaction and educational activities, facilitating student learning.
Besides trying to dispel the myth that exists in distance education where the student is emotionally
isolated and does not interact with colleagues
