Digitalization of the Professional Activity of Managers in Social Service Organizations
Abstract
The article has been devoted to the study of forms, methods, and levels of use of information and
communication technologies in the practice of social services. The relevance of the study has been
justified by a comparative analysis of data on the implementation of information and communication
technologies in different countries. The authors conduct their empirical research (the method is a
questionnaire survey, N = 157) and identify problems with the use of digital technologies based on the
opinions of employees and managers of social service organizations. The analysis of these problems
allows drawing a conclusion about the differences in the use of information and communication
technologies at three levels – macro, meso, and micro. The authors call the reasons for the contradictions factors of an objective and subjective nature. The position of the head of the organization in terms of the use of information and communication technologies and scientific
approaches in the quality management system, which directly affects the efficiency of the institution, is of particular importance.
