CONTROL CHARTS TO MONITOR AUTOCORRELATED PROCESSES
Abstract
This document aims to use control charts, as statistical control tool to monitor autocorrelated
processes. There are studies that show the negative effect of autocorrelation in usual control charts
showing the importance of using suitable tools such data. This study, therefore, presents the results
of simulated events and an application to real data, an application of control charts to monitor the
average rate of inflation in Brazil, represented by Índice Nacional de Preços ao Consumidor Amplo
(IPCA).
