Abstract
The managerial decisions are strongly marked by the need of application of new techniques and
administration tools. In that sense, Balanced Scorecard (BSC), initially it was created as a system of organizational evaluation and, later, as a methodology of strategic administration is a system of
administration capable to concentrate energy and resources of the organization in what is essential
- the success in the creation of value. This way, this article proposes to examine how the BSC, as
systematic management, can serve as a tool to support the deployment of organizational strategies
and contribute to continuous quality improvement organization. For the collection of information,
we used a simple observation and pre-structured interview applied to management of the
organization under study. Given the supply of such information, it is proposed a methodology to
implement BSC in the organization by meeting three stages: understand and interpret the mission,
vision and strategy, gathering and structuring of strategic indicators, and effectiveness of the
structure strategic indicators. As a result, we obtained the knowledge of what are the main benefits
gained with BSC as well as some critical points and the BSC is a possibility of aligning strategy,
processes and people in search of a common goal.
