ASSESSMENT SCALE FOR MEASURING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF INFORMATION SYSTEM: A STUDY WITH CONFIRMATORY FACTOR ANALYSIS
Abstract
This research aims to assess the scale to measure the effectiveness of academic information system, constructs composed of "system quality”, "information quality", "service quality" and "perceived usefulness". The survey was conducted at an institution of higher education in the city of Duque de Caxias, which is recognized by the great economic and social importance in the whole region of Baixada Fluminense. For this, a study was made with the use of confirmatory factor analysis technique, based on an evaluation model of information systems. The survey results suggest that there is consistent scale to measure the effectiveness of an Academic Information System, which is comprised by four latent variables presented. It also follows from the analysis of the data that users see the Academic Information System as a tool that gives them priority, agility and practicality in relation to academic issues.
