ANALYTICAL METHODOLOGY FOR DETERMINATION OF SULPHUR IN BIODIESEL: AN EXPLORATION TECHNOLOGY
Abstract
The presence of sulfur in biodiesel causes problems to the environment, the engine and its
belongings. It is important to ensure the performance and quality suitable for fuel. This study aimed
to carry out a technological prospecting, targeting a patent mapping and scientific articles on
analytical methodology for determination / quantification of sulfur in biodiesel and presents an
overview of the current state of R & D of technologies in this field of study. Documentary research,
exploratory quantitative approach making a technological prospecting patent content and articles
found in databases using terms related to the topic. Few studies there have on the study and has no
holding this technology, requiring conducting research on this subject and development of cheaper
and more efficient technologies.
