ADOPTION OF VARIETY OF BEAN BIOFORTIFIED FOR FARMERS IN THE GIRAU PONCIANO, ALAGOAS
Abstract
The aim of this work is to verify the adoption of biofortified beans BRS Depth by farmers in a community in the Municipality of Ponciano Girau / AL. The variety, developed by Embrapa Rice and Beans (Brasília / DF) in partnership with Embrapa Coastal Tablelands (Aracaju / SE) was made available to farmers in May 2012 and after a year was checking adoption along this public-target. To conduct the survey was used to adopt strategies for Technology Transfer (TT), ranging from the relationship between the Scientific Research, Municipal Agriculture Arapiraca, Alagoas, and technical assistance agencies (EMATER / AL). The strategy used by TT Sector Exploration and Technology Assessment (SPAT), Embrapa Coastal Tablelands, was brokered by Research in conjunction with the State Department of Agriculture of Alagoas, enabling the involvement of the board of technical assistance across the region process.
