A DIFFERENTIATED APPROACH IN THE TEACHING OF ALGORITHMS THROUGH THE USE OF A DIGITALWHITEBOARD
Abstract
The teaching of algorithms and computer programming often have high failure rates due to high
levels of abstraction required and the complexity presented in the development of the conceptual
foundations of these disciplines. This article presents a teaching strategy for teaching different
disciplines of algorithms. This strategy aims to facilitate the establishment of relations between
the knowledge that students will develop during the course with the new knowledge necessary
having the digital board as responsible for establishing these relations. The methodology used in
developing this study was action research with the application of an instrument to collect data
with open questions at the end of the semester to check the results obtained from implementing
this strategy. After analyzing the questionnaires, we could confirm the efficiency of the proposed
strategy due to the results obtained through the analysis of responses to questionnaire. Was
identified by students in 100% of responses, the proposed strategy has been a facilitator in the
learning process. And the use of the digital board as a resource to promote this strategy was
identified by more than 92% of the students also as a facilitator of this process.
